DIY: Make Your Own Natural Air Freshener with Essential Oils
Commercial air fresheners can bring many unwanted toxins and chemicals into your home. There are, however, completely safe and natural alternatives for keeping your air fresh. We came up with a quick and simple tutorial to make your own air freshener that has only two ingredients—baking soda and essential oils! Read on to get started, and your home will be smelling fresh in no time.
Materials:
1 small Mason jar with a lid and band
1/4 cup baking soda
5-6 drops of your favorite essential oil
Hammer
Small screwdriver or nail
Instructions:
1- Put 1/4 cup baking soda into your small Mason jar. Add 5-6 drops of your favorite dōTERRA essential oil or blend.
Recommended Essential Oils: Balance, Cassia, Geranium, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Lemon, On Guard, Purify, or Wild Orange.

2- Put the lid on top of the Mason jar and seal it tight with the band. Take your hammer and nail and punch small holes in the top.
You could use pretty shaker bottles to add around the house, in bathroom or closets. Or use on carpets as carpet freshener. Sprinkle on carpet, let sit a few minutes before vacuuming.
